Summary

The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance (LWHA) is seeking a full-time Health Information Management Professional (Coder) for their Listowel site. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely coding and abstracting of acute inpatient (DAD) and ambulatory care (NACRS) charts, ensuring submission to CIHI within mandated deadlines. The position requires a post-secondary diploma in Health Information Management, certification through the Canadian College of Health Information Management, and 1-2 years of experience in health information management and coding. The role involves chart assembly, qualitative analysis, tracking patient records, releasing information, working with physicians and management on data, ensuring data quality within the Cerner system, and managing patient records.
