Summary

The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) is seeking a Before School Support employee for a Long-Term Occasional (LTO) position. This role involves supporting play-based programming for students in junior kindergarten to grade 6 within the WRDSB's Before and After School Program. The successful candidate will work alongside a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) to provide general student supervision, encourage positive interactions, support children's exploration and development, and foster inclusive learning environments. Key responsibilities include following DECE guidance, supporting children's self-regulation and play, engaging with parents, and adhering to licensing requirements under the Child Care and Early Years Act. The position requires a minimum of a high school diploma and prior experience supervising children. A valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED and a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check are conditions of employment.
