HVAC Technician

Summary

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform emergency services, repairs, and preventive maintenance on various HVAC systems including rooftop units, heat pumps, split systems, boilers, air conditioning, and dehumidification units. The role involves troubleshooting controls, servicing components, checking efficiency, and operating BAS systems. The position requires a valid Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Certificate (313A), a TSSA Gas Fitter certificate (G1), a minimum of three years of related experience with commercial HVAC equipment, and a valid Class G driver's license with a safe driving record. Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills are essential, along with knowledge of WHMIS 2015 and safe handling of hazardous materials. Experience with boiler controls, circulating pumps, and DDC controls is considered an asset.
