Summary

The Town of Halton Hills is seeking a full-time Labourer to perform maintenance activities on various Town assets. This role involves maintaining roads, parks, cemeteries, drainage systems, and parking lots. Responsibilities include operating heavy machinery such as front-end loaders, woodchippers, snowplows, and tractors, as well as performing flag person duties and using hand and power tools. The position requires excellent customer service and teamwork skills. Candidates must possess a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, the physical ability to lift 20 kg, knowledge of Halton Hills' road systems and facilities, and experience in winter control operations. A valid Ontario Class 'D' license with a 'Z' endorsement is mandatory. Municipal work experience, chain saw certification, and specific certifications related to playgrounds, turf, and horticultural practices are considered assets.
