Registered Practical Nurse

Summary

Cambridge Memorial Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Registered Practical Nurse for their Nursing Float Pool. This role offers diverse experiences across medical and surgical in-patient programs, requiring flexibility and resilience in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe patient environment and will be floated to areas with the greatest care demands. Comprehensive orientation and continuous training are provided. The position requires a Diploma in Nursing, current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, current BCLS and Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Interpretation certificates, and Crisis Intervention Training (or obtained within 3 months). A minimum of two years' current experience in medicine and/or surgery units within a hospital setting is also required, along with expertise in vascular therapy, excellent physical assessment skills, and knowledge of oncologic and palliative nursing, including complex pain and symptom management and post-operative patient care. Proficiency with Meditech, Omni Cell, and Cerner Health Information Systems is also necessary.
