Summary

The Township of Norwich is seeking a Parks & Facilities Attendant for a part-time, seasonal position. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of the Township's arena, community centres, and parks. Key duties include performing housekeeping and janitorial tasks, assisting with interior and exterior facility maintenance, setting up and taking down rooms for events, and providing excellent customer service to facility users. This role also involves seasonal grounds maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care, and handling a cash float for program admissions like public skating. Applicants must possess proficient ice-skating skills to patrol public skates, along with strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities. The role requires the physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry equipment, and may involve working in various weather conditions. Candidates should be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and be available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position is eligible for the OMERS pension plan.
