Elementary Occasional Teaching

Summary

The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) is seeking applications for their Elementary Occasional Teacher Roster (JK-8). This position is open to teachers currently in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) who can demonstrate relevant experience with youth, as well as current Faculty of Education students scheduled to graduate in Spring/Summer 2027. While Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate qualifications are preferred, candidates with only Intermediate qualifications may be considered if they commit to completing further coursework. Successful candidates will be placed on the roster, with appointments effective upon confirmation of OCT certification and required documentation. Existing WRDSB Elementary Occasional Teachers do not need to reapply, and current Secondary Occasional Teachers may apply to transfer but will be removed from the secondary roster if successful.
