Financial Specialist

Summary

Milton Hydro is seeking a Financial Specialist to prepare financial statements, operational reports, and management packages. This role is crucial for supporting month-end and year-end close processes, intercompany reconciliations, and external audit preparation. The Financial Specialist will also monitor cash flow, forecast liquidity, and identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function. The position requires advanced MS Excel skills, strong analytical and interpersonal abilities, and a thorough understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). A Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or a related discipline, a CPA designation, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or financial analysis role are required. Experience in the electricity sector and knowledge of the Utility Regulatory Framework are considered assets.
