Senior Financial Analyst

Summary

Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is seeking a Temporary Full Time Senior Financial Analyst for a 6-month contract role. This position will provide financial support for the hospital's accounting and reporting functions, including month-end close, drafting financial statements, and account reconciliations. The analyst will also provide financial analysis and reporting for internal management and Board financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key responsibilities include assisting with year-end audit preparation, coordinating with the Information Services Department on financial systems, and supporting the consolidation of finance systems. The role involves developing relationships with stakeholders in areas like Payroll and Accounts Payable, and overseeing the employee expense payment process. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, with 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, and analysis. Experience with PSAB accounting standards and in large, complex public sector organizations is preferred. Strong proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, business intelligence systems, and report writing software is required. The position also requires excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience with OHRS(MIS) reporting standards and ERP implementations are considered assets.
